We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This privacy policy explains which data we collect when you visit this website, how we use it and what rights you have.

2. Controller

We process personal data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent), (b) GDPR (contract or pre-contractual measures) and (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, functional website that meets user needs).

This website is hosted on a server operated on our behalf. The host processes the data required to provide the website. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in reliable provision (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host.

5. Server log files

When you access this website, information is automatically stored in server log files that your browser transmits:

  • browser type and version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. Collection is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for technically error-free presentation and optimisation of the website and to defend against attacks. Log files are deleted after a short period.

6. Contact and enquiry forms

If you contact us via a form on this website, by email or by telephone, we process the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, product link and message) in order to handle your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling enquiries). Your data remains with us until you ask us to delete it or the purpose no longer applies; mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

7. Contact via WhatsApp

If you contact us via WhatsApp, the privacy terms of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. additionally apply. We have no influence over the data processing carried out there. If you wish to avoid this, please use email, telephone or our contact form.

8. Cookies and consent

This website uses technically necessary cookies or local storage to provide basic functions (e.g. storing your chosen appearance). These are required for operation; the legal basis is Section 25 (2) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Non-essential services — in particular reach measurement and analytics — are only loaded after your explicit consent (Section 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

9. Google Analytics

Subject to your consent, this website uses the web analytics service Google Analytics provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics uses cookies or comparable technologies that enable an analysis of website use. Among other things, pages viewed, time spent, approximate location, device used and traffic source are recorded. The IP address is processed in truncated form.

10. Microsoft Clarity

Subject to your consent, this website uses Microsoft Clarity, an analytics service provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.

Clarity records usage data such as mouse movements, scrolling behaviour, clicks and page views and presents them as heatmaps and session recordings. This helps us understand how our pages are used and improve their structure. Input into form fields is masked.

11. Fonts

This website embeds fonts for a consistent presentation of text. Where these are loaded from an external provider, your browser establishes a connection to that provider's servers, transmitting your IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a consistent presentation).

12. Images and media

Images on this website are delivered by our own content management system under the subdomain cms.midmat.de. No transfer to third parties takes place.

13. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
