Corporate Video Cost

Corporate video cost 2026: what it really costs

Most agencies only name a price once you are on a call. Ours are here in the open — with what is included, and what pushes the price up.

The short answer

  • A corporate video in Germany usually costs 3,000 to 25,000 EUR net.
  • At MidMat: 1,990 EUR (1 shoot day), 3,900 EUR (2 shoot days, the usual mid-sized scope) or 7,900 EUR (3 shoot days with drone).
  • The biggest price driver is the number of shoot days — not the length of the finished film.
  • Included in the fixed price: concept, shoot, edit, colour grade, music licence, two revision rounds and every format.
  • First cut 5 working days after the shoot day.

What does it cost you per month?

A film is not a running cost but a one-off production you use for years. So we convert it to 36 months - that is what makes a comparison with monthly marketing costs like Google Ads honest.

A plain division of the net price across the useful life - no interest, financing or tax calculation. How the expense works out for tax is a question for your tax adviser.

What determines the price of a corporate video

01

Number of shoot days

By far the largest item. A shoot day ties up crew, equipment and travel — the length of the film costs almost nothing extra, because it is created in the edit.

02

Number of locations

Every move means packing up and setting up again. Two locations in one day is workable; three rarely makes sense.

03

Interviews and protagonists

Every person needs setup, sound, lighting and time to warm up — realistically 30 to 45 minutes each.

04

Motion graphics and animation

Lower thirds and simple overlays are standard. Elaborate animation or explanatory graphics are production steps of their own.

05

Voice-over, music and language versions

A professional voice, an extended music licence or an English version each carry their own cost.

How to pay less — without cutting the result

Several films on one shoot day

If we are with you anyway, the second film only costs the edit. Corporate film and recruitment film on the same day is the most common case.

Your own rooms instead of a rented location

Your own premises are almost always the better set — more credible and with no rental cost.

Employees instead of actors

Real faces work better in corporate films than booked talent, and they save casting and fees.

Take the photos along

The photographer is on site on the shoot day anyway. A separate photo session later costs considerably more than the surcharge today.

Common questions about corporate video cost

What does a corporate video cost in 2026?

The market rate in Germany is 3,000 to 25,000 EUR net. At MidMat a corporate video costs 1,990 EUR for one shoot day, 3,900 EUR for the usual mid-sized scope with two shoot days and 7,900 EUR for several locations with drone footage — each as a fixed price.

Why are your prices lower than other agencies?

Because our cost structure is different: we work with a settled network of freelance filmmakers rather than salaried crews, we have our own studio in Dusseldorf, and we shoot photo and video on the same day. We save on overhead, not on shooting time or equipment.

What does a corporate video cost per minute?

That calculation misleads. The price hangs on shoot days, not runtime — a two-minute film from one shoot day costs less than a one-minute film shot at three locations. Count shoot days, not minutes.

What does a 2-minute corporate video cost?

With us 3,900 EUR net: two shoot days, up to four interviews, voice-over, subtitles and three cuts for the different channels.

What is included in the fixed price?

Briefing and shooting plan, the shoot day with crew and equipment, edit, colour grade, licensed music, subtitles, two revision rounds and delivery in every agreed format. Travel within North Rhine-Westphalia is included.

Are there hidden extra costs?

No. Anything that would cost extra — a professional voice-over, a foreign-language version, another shoot day — we say before you book, not in the final invoice.

How long does production take?

The first cut reaches you 5 working days after the shoot day. With both revision rounds, production is usually finished after two to three weeks.

How many revision rounds are included?

Two. That is enough in practice because we agree the core message and structure before the shoot — most revision loops come from work that was never planned.

Who owns the usage rights?

You do. You receive unlimited usage rights in time and territory for all digital channels. Only for a TV broadcast do we clear the music licence separately.

Can I deduct a corporate video from tax?

A corporate video is generally deductible as a business expense. How exactly — immediately or across several years — depends on the individual case; your tax adviser answers that definitively, not us.

Is a corporate video worth it at all?

Convert it over its useful life: 3,900 EUR across three years is roughly 108 EUR a month. A film you use on the website, at trade fairs, in proposals and in job ads is then cheaper than almost any other marketing channel — provided it actually gets used.

Do we need actors?

Almost never. Corporate films are more credible with your own team, and you save casting and talent fees.

Do you shoot outside Dusseldorf?

Yes. Travel within North Rhine-Westphalia is included in the fixed price. Across Germany we work through our network or quote travel and accommodation transparently up front.

Can I get a binding quote in advance?

Yes, and before you decide. Describe the scope and locations and you get a fixed-price quote with no reservations.
